After spending his entire career in France, Issa Diop left Toulouse and made a switch to West Ham United before the start of the 2018/19 season.
The centre-back was the Hammers’ club-record signing and they reportedly paid £22m to acquire his services.
Manuel Pellegrini has started him in nine Premier League fixtures this campaign and his displays for the English capital club saw him being linked with a return to Ligue 1.
It was the Daily Mail in England who reported that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the defender and the Parc des Princes outfit could offer €50m to West Ham for Diop.
The Mail’s report didn’t mention if Thomas Tuchel’s side were interested in taking the player in January or after the end of this term.
“A departure to PSG this winter? Frankly, I do not know at all, I learned the information like you, it was sent to me via social networks,” Foot-Sur7 quoted Diop as saying.
“If my agent knows? Maybe, you have to see with him (laughs!). I’m very good at West Ham, I enjoy discovering the Premier League every weekend.”
