Andi Zeqiri is ‘very likely’ to leave Brighton and Hove Albion this summer, with his agent confirming as much in his latest comments.
That’s according to Blick, who cover comments from Ismaël Piller from the Gold-Kick agency today regarding their client.
Zeqiri has returned to Brighton this summer following a loan spell at Basel last season, his latest move since joining the Seagulls from Lausanne-Sport in October 2020.
He’s only made 13 appearances for Brighton since his arrival three years ago, instead spending time on loan at Augsburg and then Basel last season.
All indications are that Brighton are not planning for him to be part of their squad moving forwards and it was reported last month that the striker has no shortage of interested parties.
That was followed by agent making the interest of numerous clubs known public, further adding to the belief that he would be moving on permanently in the coming weeks.
Now Piller has confirmed as much again, insisting that his client will be on the move eventually as Brighton ‘do not count on’ him.
“We’ll see how that develops in the next few days, but Andi will leave the club,” he said.
“It was our wish to complete the preparation with Brighton again. De Zerbi was not responsible for his two loans and Andi wanted to meet him to show what he can do.
“Andi is mentally very strong. He knows it’s going to happen, so there’s no stress. The problem is not finding a club. But the choice of club is important with regard to the EM.
“There is concrete interest from England, especially from the Championship, as well as from France, Germany, Italy and several clubs from Turkey. We will examine all options.”
