Fotospor report Besiktas president Fikret Orman wants to form a new defender partnership with Caglar Soyuncu and Omer Toprak, but Leicester City at this stage don’t want to let their player leave.
Soyuncu has been linked with a move to the Turkish club in recent weeks after finding his chances limited at Leicester City this season. The player joined the Foxes from Freiburg for €20m last summer.
According to Fotospor, Besiktas president Fikret Orman recently met Soyuncu’s representative Thomas Strunz . The German agent told Orman that Leicester City may be tempted to let him go on loan if Besiktas qualify for the Champions League.
Struz has reportedly told Orman that if Besiktas are involved in the competition next season then he’ll do whatever he can to bring Soyuncu to the Turkish club.
The 22 year old Altinordu academy graduate has played only five Premier League games so far this season and has yet to be involved under Brendan Rodgers.
He’s under contract with the Premier League until June 2023.
