Kalidou Koulibaly has regularly been linked to other clubs in the past few windows, but the centre-back hasn’t managed to get a move away from Napoli so far.
Carlo Ancelotti’s past connection with the Naples club has now seen Everton linked with the defender.
The Toffees’ rumoured interest in the 29-year-old first surfaced in England and then made its way to Italy.
On Wednesday, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Ancelotti is interested in the Senegal international and would ‘willingly bring’ him to Goodison Park.
According to Radio Punto Nuovo, as relayed by Area Napoli, the Napoli star has ‘decided’ his future and wants to continue with the Serie A side. He is happy with his life at Napoli.
It’s claimed that to this date, Koulibaly’s agent, Fali Ramadani has not received any offer, and certainly not from Everton.
Radio Punto Nuovo have also gathered information the former Chelsea manager has no plans to sign a new centre-back and has his sights set on bringing in a new goalkeeper, midfielder and a young forward in the next market.
It’s not ruled out for Koulibaly to leave Napoli, but what ‘will not happen’ is the player joining Everton in the summer.
