Manchester City midfielder Ivan Ilić’s performances while on loan at Hellas Verona last season convinced the Serie A side to sign him again this summer.

The 20-year-old excelled under the orders of Ivan Jurić and the manager, who was released by the Italian club in May, has taken over the job at Torino.

Earlier this month, Torino Granata reported the Turin club have joined Hellas Verona in the race to sign the Citizens owned player.

On July 22nd, we carried a report from TuttoMercatoWeb, who explained the Gialloblu are ready to make ‘big investment’ to sign Ilić.

It was also stated Hellas Verona will hold new talks with Pep Guardiola’s side for the Serbia international, who has entered his final year of contract at the Etihad.

Another report from TMW now states the Manchester City midfielder’s agent is expected to arrive in Italy this week and ‘there will be a meeting’ with his client’s former club.

Apart from Hellas Verona, it’s said that Torino are also interested in Ilić, but whether the agent has a meeting scheduled with Jurić’s side isn’t mentioned in the report.
