Arriving in January, there was a lot of hype surrounding Gabriel Jesus when he signed for Manchester City.
Already showing a lot of promise with the Brazil national team, the 20-year-old didn’t take long to adapt to the Premier League, and only an unfortunate knee injury stopped him from completely settling into Pep Guardiola’s side.
Now fully healed and undoubtedly preparing himself for the new season, Gabriel Jesus isn’t planning on going anywhere anytime soon, enjoying life in the north of England.
At least, that’s what his agent told TuttoMercatoWeb on Monday.
He said: “Everything is going really well. We’re happy. Gabriel is happy. Guardiola? They have a great relationship, without a doubt. The manager is completely satisfied with what he’s shown up until now. Basically, it’s all going great.”
After all, the Brazilian’s instant impact has hindered the progress of Kelechi Iheanacho, who is currently reported to be close to a move with West Ham.
The young forward has scored seven goals and picked up five assists in 11 appearances for the Citizens this season.
A quite frankly remarkable return, making his €33m move look like one of the bargains of the season.
