Earlier today, we covered a story from Portuguese newspaper Record which many times mentioned Manchester United’s interest in Eder Militão.

The article had an interview with the player’s agent, and although he never mentioned the Red Devils, the outlet kept pushing about the club’s chase.

Now it turns out that there’s other newspaper featuring an interview with the representative today. That’s Jornal de Notícias.

The outlet claims that Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all interested in the defender, but add two teams to that list, which are Liverpool and Everton.

“It’s normal to have interested clubs, just watch how he’s playing. But Eder thinks only of FC Porto, he only has his head here and he totally disregards all these things. He is very happy in the club,” Ulisses Jorge told Jornal de Notícias. “No, no one was with me. I do not know anything.”

“I came to see Eder play and be with him. I’m going to stay here for another week and then I’m going to England, but that’s my job, I go a bit everywhere.”

And when asked if he’s going to England to do business, he said: “It has nothing to do with it. I go to England as I go to other countries, like Italy.”

He’s hardly touring Portugal and Italy and then going to England as an impromptu transfer window holiday.

Although Jornal de Notícias says Liverpool and Everton were both added to the race by the English press, it was actually claims from Brazil who talked about their interest earlier this week.

Jornal de Notícias also makes it clear that although Miilitão has a €50m release clause, his contract says this is actually €75m for January 2019, then it goes back to normal afterwards.
