The agent of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is not feeding the rumours about a Manchester City transfer.
With recent stories from the English media claiming Pep Guardiola’s side are interested in the Napoli star, Championat had a word with the player’s agent about that.
The first question made to Mamuka Dzhugeli in this exclusive interview was about the possibilities of a Manchester City move. And the agent was having none of that.
“I don’t have any papers on my desk, and I suppose neither in Napoli’s office,” Mamuka Dzhugeli told Championat.
The subject of a transfer was only approached again at the end of the interview, with Championat mentioning the recent comments in the Italian media which said Kvaratskhelia should be worth €100m. Even when speaking of his clients’ price, Dzhugeli didn’t want to hype the situation.
“That’s the last thing we’re thinking about right now.”
Kvaratskhelia has 14 goals and 15 assists in 26 appearances for Napoli this season. It’s no surprise that with such good form shown at the Italian club, he’s been linked to several Premier League sides in the past few months. Manchester City were one of them, but his agent apparently doesn’t want the story to grow.
