In the past few days, several reports from South American press have linked Crystal Palace to River Plate striker Rafael Santos Borré.
With seven goals in 21 matches this season, the Colombian star has been showing some good potential and attracting the interest from several clubs.
Sport Witness managed to have a word with Borré’s agent, Helmuth Wennin, to speak a little about the chase for the 23-year-old.
“There’s the interest from Europe, Brazil, Mexico and the MLS,” Helmuth Wennin told Sport Witness.
Asked specifically about Crystal Palace’s interest, Wennin didn’t want to feed this kind of rumour: “I stay out of those answers out of respect for the clubs.”
The agent has also claimed they “will see” if the Premier League side would have an advantage given it’s such a strong and high profile league.
Borré already has some experience in European football, since he’s played for both Villarreal and Atletico Madrid in Spain. He returned to South America in 2017, but could soon go the other way once again.
