The agent of Zorya goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has confirmed to the Italian media Leicester City are interested in his client.
Despite being only 19 years of age, Lunin is the current No.1 for Zorya.
Calciomercato have reported on comments made by Irakli Khvedeliani when he was quizzed about interest from other clubs: “There are several clubs on the tracks of Lunin, I think also of the RB Salzburg in Austria.
“Interest in the past there was Juventus while at the moment there’s Inter and Leicester on the player. I do not know about the interest of Napoli and Rome, but I can’t exclude contact.”
With the summer window getting nearer Lunin could be an option for Leicester City, but it’s unlikely he would be challenging Kasper Schmeichel for a place in Claude Puel’s starting eleven.
The young Ukrainian would be seen as one for the future and if he did arrive at Leicester City this summer it’s possible he would be placed in the Foxes’ U23 side.
Lunin made his debut for Zorya last year, and this season he’s become the club’s first choice, playing nineteen league games in the current campaign.
The goalkeeper has also made his debut for the Ukraine national team.
