The agent of Leicester City midfielder Gokhan Inler has told the Italian media his client wants to leave this summer if they can find the right club. The Swiss international only joined the Premier League champions last summer, but he failed to hold down a place in the starting eleven.
Speaking to TMW, Dino Lamberti was asked about the future of Inler at Leicester City. Lamberti revealed he’s kept in touch with Leicester with regards to a transfer, and if a good option arises in this window then the player we leave.
Lamberti said the midfielder wants to play more next season after finding his chances limited last season.
“I’m in constant contact with the club and we decided that, in the case of offers, he will leave in this transfer window. He wants to play more,” said Inler’s agent.
Due to the midfield partnership of Danny Drinkwater and N’Golo Kante at Leicester City, Inler found it difficult to make an impact in his first season in England.
The former Napoli star could return to Italy this summer or possibly head to Germany.
