Divock Origi’s agent has confirmed to the Turkish media he’s held talks with Besiktas over a potential transfer.

The Liverpool forward has been linked with a move to Turkey in recent days.

Origi’s representative has spoken to A Spor about the player’s future at Liverpool: “For me that it was a mistake for Divock to go to the Wolfsburg. Klopp will now make a decision on him. If he wants him to stay, then Divock will stay or if he wants him to leave then Divock will leave.”

Origi’s agent also confirmed the Belgian international could move to Turkey: “We are not looking to leave on loan again. We want to go a team that has made plans for him. In that regard, we’ve also spoke with Besiktas.”

The Belgian striker has only one year left on his current Liverpool contract and speculation is mounting about his future with the Premier League club.

Besiktas are one of the clubs said to be keen on signing him and they’d almost certainly look for a cut-price deal, given Origi’s current situation.

The 23 year old spent last season on loan at Wolfsburg, scoring just six goals for the German side.
