Emre Mor’s ex-agent Bariz Soofidazeh has told the German media he was in talks with Everton to discuss a move to the Premier League side for his client.
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly willing to let Mor go out on loan this season to get first team football, and Everton have been linked with the Turkey international
We recently covered reports from Turkey that Everton are in the ‘mix’ to sign Mor, as Ronald Koeman looks at options for the left side of his attack. With the long term injury to Yannick Bolasie, who’s sidelined at least until Christmas, the Borussia Dortmund attacker was seen as a possible replacement.
A move to Everton was receiving plenty of attention in Turkey, due to the fact Mor could get a chance to play in a competition like the Premier League.
Speaking to Fussball Transfers, Soofidazeh has confirmed Everton were looking to sign the player: “Mor was keen to get a move Inter Milan. He was almost transferred to Fiorentina, but then Inter stepped in. There was also interest from Lille, two Bundesliga clubs and Betis Sevilla. We were also talking with Everton and Huddersfield.”
With the deadline approaching it’s unlikely Everton will now bring in Mor for the season, and the Toffees may have dodged a bullet after recent reports the forward has an ego problem.
The agent change happened over the past week, another odd move in this transfer saga.
