Jorginho’s agent João Santos loves talking to the Italian media and the Chelsea player is a regular topic of discussion.

Last month, Santos admitted the midfielder could leave the west London club after this season, only for him to make a U-turn at the start of April, stressing the midfielder will continue with the Blues.

We did suggest then it wouldn’t come as a surprise if the agent gave another interview talking about the former Napoli star, and that’s what has happened now.

The Brazil-born Italy international’s current deal runs down in 2023 and his representative has opened the door to a Serie A return. Santos, however, has made it clear a move is unlikely to happen in the upcoming window.

“Jorginho returns to Naples in the future? You can’t say. I can only confirm that he will stay at Chelsea again next year,” Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, as relayed by Area Napoli.

“Then for the future, he thinks of returning to Italy because his dream is to win the scudetto.”

Jorginho arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2018 and he followed Maurizio Sarri from Napoli to the Premier League club. Chelsea parted ways with the coach in 2019 and he’s been without a job since Juventus relieved him from his duties in 2020.

Multiple reports in the past few days have stressed that AS Roma will appoint Sarri as their new manager for next season.

Santos’ latest comments will rule out a reunion between Jorginho and his former manager at Roma.
