Several reports in South America have linked Junior Barranquilla winger Luis Diaz with a move to Cardiff City.
Speaking to Spanish newspaper AS, the 22-year-old’s agent Carlos Van Strahalen has already confirmed the Premier League club’s interest for his client.
Another Spanish outlet, Super Deporte, brings an update about the attacker and claims there are several clubs chasing the player.
It’s explained that Neil Warnock’s side have already submitted an offer worth around €9m for Diaz as they are looking to bring him to club after the end of the season.
To complete the transfer, the Welsh club should ‘convince’ Diaz to join them because on several occasions he has shown his preference is to sign for a club in La Liga.
Cardiff are expected to face further competition because Levante, a second unnamed Spanish side, and a club in Germany (could be Borussia Dortmund) are also in the race for Diaz.
It won’t be easy for Cardiff, especially if they are relegated to the Championship.
