Lucas Perez’s agent Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle has spoken to the Turkish media outlet Ajansspor about the potential transfer of the Arsenal attacker.
Yesterday it was reported in Turkey that Fenerbahce were looking to get a helping hand from Mesut Ozil to land the Arsenal forward.
Lovelle has confirmed that Fenerbahçe are showing an interest in his client, but nothing is clear at this stage.
Lovelle said: “Yes it’s true that Fenerbahçe have been showing an interest for almost two months. But I can say this transfer is looking unlikely at the moment because Arsenal wants to sell him permanently, but Fenerbahçe are hoping to strike a loan deal.”
The agent was also asked Perez’s thoughts of a potential move loan move to Fenerbahçe: “I can’t say anything about this because Arsenal don’t want us to talk about these kind of things.”
The agent also said Arsenal are naturally looking to recoup a big part of the €21m they paid to Deportivo a year ago, and are wanting offers in the region of €12m.
However, given only Levante, Betis, and Fenerbahce are interested in the Spaniard, it seems Arsenal may have to consider a loan deal when the later stages of transfer window arrive.
Fenerbahçe manager Aykut Kocaman reportedly wants to add two strikers to his squad due to the recent sale of Emmanuel Emenike and the injury to Fernando. The Turkish giants have also been strongly linked with a move for Manchester City’s Wilfried Bony.
