Ionut Radu’s agent Crescenzo Cecere has revealed Arsenal have conducted a survey for the goalkeeper.

The 22-year-old came up through the ranks of Inter Milan and after struggling for regular minutes at the San Siro, the Nerazzurri sent him out on loan to Avelino and Genoa in the last two seasons.

During the 2018/19 campaign, the Romanian made 33 starts for Genoa in the league, keeping six clean sheets and conceding 46 goals in the process.

The shot stopper has already admitted he would prefer to continue his development at Genoa for one more season, while his performances have seen him attract interest from elsewhere.

When FcInterNews asked if Radu has suitors in the market, his representative said: “There are so many teams interested, including Lyon. Recently, there was also a survey from Arsenal.”

“He is a very interesting prospect since he is growing a lot, from all points of view “

Unai Emery will be without the services of Petr Cech as the former Chelsea star retired after the Europa League final.

David Ospina, who spent the last season on loan at Napoli, is expected to join Carlo Ancelotti’s side on a permanent deal.

This will force the Gunners to bring in a new goalkeeper.
