Given West Ham’s need for a striker, it was only a matter of time before the Premier League club were linked with Arkadiusz Milik.

The Poland international has a contract expiring in June and has been completely frozen out of the picture at Napoli. In recent days, the Italian slant has been that Milik has to decide whether to push for a lesser move now, or risk his participation at the postponed Euro 2020 and wait for a free transfer to a big club.

Juventus are thought to be interested in the latter scenario, yet it’s obviously something Napoli want to avoid. Despite that, their stubborn chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has still been asking for around £15m in recent weeks, which seems entirely unrealistic.

Sense may be prevailing, and CalcioNapoli24 bring West Ham into the picture. Journalist Ciro Venerato, who specialises in all things Napoli, has been quoted as saying an agent arrived ‘a few hours ago’ with an offer from West Ham.

The agent is Claudio Vigorelli, and the offer is said to be worth €7m. Marseille are also keen, and Napoli’s latest idea is to ask for a percentage of any future sale, which will help them save face if they drop the price.

Whether Vigorelli is working on behalf of West Ham, or just trying his luck and hoping to build a deal to present to the Hammers, isn’t clear.
