Here we go again, as Blaise Matuidi to Manchester United has become a thing again.

This time, it’s according to Rai Sport in Italy, relayed by Le10 Sport, who claim that Mino Raiola, the Frenchman’s agent, is ‘already working’ on a transfer to Old Trafford for his client.

Apparently, this comes after José Mourinho was impressed with his performances for Juventus, which has led to the Manchester United manager wanting him under his command in the north of England.

In fact, according to another relay, this time by TuttoMercatoWeb, Rai Sport go as far as saying the Red Devils are in ‘constant contact’ with Raiola about it.

However, this appears to all be happening without the consent or knowledge of the Serie A side, who will have the final say in the matter, considering Matuidi is under contract there until 2020.

What we find strange here is the fact Rai Sport seem to think Mourinho’s appreciation for the France international’s services is something new when Manchester United were constantly linked with him last summer and the summer before that and… you get the gist.

The 30-year-old has become a key member of Max Allegri’s side since his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, scoring two goals and picking up two assists in 36 appearances.
