Nikola Maksimović is expected to leave Napoli when his contract expires at the end of the season.
West Ham United and Everton have been handed an opportunity to sign the 29-year-old.
That’s according to FcInterNews, who once again explain the centre-back isn’t planning to sign an extension and is ‘looking for a new club’ in the next window.
Fali Ramadani, the Serbia international’s agent, has ‘already proposed’ his client to clubs in both Italy and England, and this includes Inter Milan, Lazio, AS Roma, the Hammers and the Merseyside club.
The website states negotiations for the defender have not reached an advanced stage with the suitors in Italy, despite rumours stating otherwise.
Roma are taking time to evaluate who will be their manager next season, while their local rivals Lazio are evaluating who to replace Mateo Musacchio with in the summer.
Antonio Conte’s side, for their part, have made it clear to Maksimović’s camp Inter will offer a two-year contract worth no more than €2m per season.
The Napoli player’s initial request was three or four years worth €3m net per season. These demands are ‘negotiable’, but FcInterNews points out there’s ‘not too much’ room to negotiate.
It’s claimed Maksimović’s economic demands can be ‘satisfied’ by the likes of West Ham and Everton, but his priority is to continue in Italy.
The report doesn’t mention if the two English clubs have responded to Ramadani after he offered his client to West Ham and Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
