Burnley striker Darko Churlinov has insisted any potential return to Schalke this summer will be dealt with by his agency.
The striker has been speaking to Sky Sports Germany about his future after something of a disastrous first year at Burnley this year.
He joined Vincent Kompany’s side from Stuttgart in a €3.5m deal in the summer as the Belgian manager reshaped his squad.
The North Macedonian has barely featured this season, though, making just seven appearances in the Championship so far and featuring in just 5% of the minutes to boot.
That’s led to speculation he could be moved on at the end of the season, with it explained that Burnley will agree to let him depart and that talks have already begun with Schalke over a potential return there.
That’s something he’s refused to comment on when asked directly by Sky, insisting that any transfer negotiations will be dealt with by his agents.
“My job is to play football,” he said.
“Everything else will be done by my agency. I only focus on football and where I am at the moment. We still have one matchday there and we have to win the title.
“What happens after that, in the future, I can’t say. I don’t know. If something should happen, my agency is in charge of that and will sort it out for me.
“My time at Schalke was a really nice time. I love the fans. But as I said, everything else has to be decided by my agency.”
