The agency representing Zulte Waregem defender Bryan Verboom has told Voetbalnieuws they have a verbal agreement for the player to join Roda JC. The fullback was linked with a move to Leeds United in the summer and again more recently in November.
Benin Vest Sports president Ben Kouider Mustafa was asked to confirm the interest in his client from other clubs.
Mustafa said in principle they’ve agreed a loan deal for Verboom to join Roda JC, but as yet this hasn’t been finalised by Zulte Waregem managing director Eddy Cordier.
“There is a verbal agreement between Zulte Waregem and Roda JC. I leave everything in the hands of Eddy Cordier. We still have no agreement with Roda JC,” said his agency.
During the last window Leeds United were prepared to go to the wire in their pursuit of Verboom. At the time it was claimed in Belgium that Leeds United had a bid turned down by Zulte Waregem, following reports Charlie Taylor could be heading to West Brom.
Verboom was again linked with a move to Leeds United in November after he lost his place at Zulte Waregem.
