Ever since he starting to showcase his ability at the highest level with Angers SCO, Mohamed-Ali Cho has been linked with a return to England.
For those who don’t know, the latest starlet in France spent a number of years in Everton’s academy, where he arrived from Paris Saint-Germain.
The striker even represented England at U16 level before deciding to switch to France, for whom he now has two goals in three U19 appearances.
Still, his time at Everton served him well, allowing him to develop and eventually impact Angers at a young age after returning to his home country in 2020.
Ahead of his game against Paris Saint-Germain, Ouest-France sat down with some of his family to discuss the youngster’s development, which also included his time at the Toffees.
Moving to England for work, his parents needed to put him somewhere to continue his football, and it was Everton who ended up welcoming him.
Why? His mother explained: “The English are very quick with their scouting. [Everton] because the sporting project was more advanced than in other teams around, like Liverpool and the two from Manchester.”
However, when the family decided to go back to France, it was Angers who won the lottery, as a return to Paris Saint-Germain never presented itself.
