The Portuguese press brings two different updates on Adrien Silva’s situation at Leicester City today.
The first one comes from A Bola. They’re pretty confident that the midfielder is returning to Sporting, as the tranfer could be announced ‘at any time’.
A Bola claims that Adrien should arrive on loan until the end of the season, and each club will be paying half of his salary during the spell.
Although other clubs from England and France are claimed to be interested in Adrien, the player is giving full priority to his former side.
Jornal de Notícias, however, doesn’t think the transfer is so close.
They claim that Leicester want to have some profit with the move, which means a permanent sale or a loan with a fee. And that would not include paying for part of his salary.
Sporting’s only advantage would be that Adrien is accepting a pay cut in case he returns to the Lions. But a deal with Leicester must be found first.
With Vicente Iborra given permission to travel to Spain, it could be a case of letting one of the two go.
