For the early part of the summer transfer market, Nahitan Nandez was repeatedly linked with a move to Leeds United. Marcelo Bielsa’s side were presented as being seriously interested, and there was talk of offers from Leeds, and ongoing negotiations.

Inter Milan moved into the picture, with Leeds soon being forgotten and a move to the Italian champions looking close on repeat occasions. Then that collapsed, with Inter not agreeing a fee with Cagliari, and Nandez then failing to show up for a preseason trip.

Over the past week there’s been claims David Moyes wants to sign the player for West Ham, and also that Tottenham are making efforts for the Uruguayan.

When covering Tottenham claims at the weekend, we explained there’s a reasonable chance Spurs, along with West Ham and Leeds United, are being used by Cagliari to put pressure on Inter.

On Tuesday, FCInterNews report that’s likely the case. They say the player’s agent, Pablo Bentancourt, hasn’t heard anything from Tottenham and the reports could be ‘nothing more than a strategy’ from Cagliari to try and panic Inter.

FCInterNews say the same for both West Ham and Leeds United.

It’s explained Nandez has a personal agreement with Inter and will continue to wait for them to agree a deal with Cagliari.
