Liverpool and Manchester City are taking an interest in AC Milan youngster Giuseppe Iglio, according to claims in the Italian media. The 16-year-old has yet to sign a professional contract with the Serie A club.

TMW have reported Liverpool and Manchester City are monitoring the situation with Iglio after the midfielder recently turned 16 years old. Iglio has recently impressed for AC Milan’s youth team, which has led to interest from other clubs.

The Italian has been in talks with AC Milan about a contract, but due to complications the player has yet to commit himself to the club. This has led to clubs from the Bundesliga and Premier League looking to take advantage, with claims Iglio has been approached by some of the interested sides.

Along with Manchester City and Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Schalke 04, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen have all been linked with the young midfielder. AC Milan will want to secure the player soon or risk the embarrassment of losing one of their best youth players.

Both Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola have a good record of giving chances to young players, which could sway Iglio should he be considering an England move.
