On Tuesday, it was Inter Milan who dreamt of bringing in Sergio Agüero from Manchester City.
Wednesday? Their city rivals, AC Milan.
Once again, it’s Corriere dello Sport who put forward this rather unrealistic plan of trying to convince the Manchester City star to join a club in Milan, where Champions League football has become more of a day dream than anything else in recent times.
However, as with Inter, the backing of new Chinese investors could propel both clubs to new spending heights, and see them attract some of the world’s biggest players.
To go alongside Sergio Agüero, the ideal scenario would also see the return of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the San Siro (he played there between 2007-2011), and the arrival of former Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini on the bench, replacing Vincenzo Montella.
Corriere dello Sport claim Sino-Europe Sports would be prepared to fund €100m worth of deals in the summer, with €60-70m going to Manchester City for Agüero.
That seems to leave only €30-40m for Aubameyang, but then again, the departures of Carlos Bacca and Gianluca Lapadula could fund the rest.
Again, this appears to be Corriere dello Sport trying to convince themselves, and fans, that this could actually happen.
Before any of this happens, though, AC Milan will need to qualify for the Champions League, and considering they are currently 11 points behind third placed Napoli, that doesn’t look very likely.
