Diogo Dalot has faced a mixed time at AC Milan this season, with the Italian media frequently changing their collective minds on the view of him.
Arriving on loan from Manchester United on a loan deal, the Rossoneri have no purchase option for the summer window.
He’s only played 766 minutes in Serie A so far this season, but has been given more opportunities in the Europa League and Coppa Italia. A bright slant is that 270 of those Serie A minutes came in Milan’s last three matches in the competition, so that’s obviously seeing suggestions of an attempt to keep him.
Milan’s local media believe that will be a difficult quest, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s recent comments about expecting Dalot back at Old Trafford for the next campaign have had an impact.
Hysaj’s contract with Napoli expires at the end of June, so he’d clearly be a much easier signing. Just like Dalot, he’s able to operate at both right and left back.
Manchester United may well want to have the Portuguese fullback in their squad for next season, although there’s every possibility that suggesting they do could be a tactic to push his value upwards.
