Croatian striker Antonio Colak had a year-long stint at Rangers during the 2022/23 season.

The Glasgow giants were the eleventh club of Colak’s career and he impressed during his time at Rangers, scoring 18 times and picking up three assists in all competitions.

He left the club for Parma in 2023 and now finds himself at Serie B side Spezia, where he has one goal in ten games.

In a recent interview with La Nazione, as relayed by TuttoB, the striker reflected on his time at Rangers and he only had good words to say about his short stint.

Looking back on his career, he said: “In Greece, at Paok, it was the time of Covid, it was difficult for me, also because of my mother’s illness, while in Sweden, at Malmoe, I returned to scoring many goals, 22 in 40 games with the qualification for the Champions League.

“In 2022 the experience with the legendary Glasgow Rangers, was like a soldier in Real Madrid, a spectacle to play in the Champions League at the Ibrox Stadium packed with 50,000 fans.”

It is quite clear that despite not being at the Gers for long, the experience did enrich the 31-year-old’s career and looks back fondly on his time in Scotland.

Considering his goalscoring record, Rangers fans would have hoped that he stayed at Ibrox for a longer period of time.
