Last week, Estadio Deportivo stated Brighton & Hove Albion and Everton are keeping close tabs on Real Betis’ Raúl García, who is on loan at CD Mirandés. It was said the Premier League duo are ‘convinced’ the striker could be a ‘good signing’ for them.
The 22-year-old has managed 19 goals and seven assists from 37 games this season and has been aiming to return to his parent club next season.
This is highlighted by today’s ABC Sevilla, who give an update on the La Liga side’s stance and also mention interest from Brighton and Everton.
Los Verdiblancos don’t have him in their plans and have decided to sell the Spaniard in the summer. They don’t have the urgent need to raise funds but see him as a market opportunity. This has already been communicated to García and his agent in recent days.
His deal at Betis expires in 2025 and has a €30m clause. Despite this, the newspaper states €10m is the initial figure needed to start talking about his sale.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side haven’t received any formal offers so far but have received a ‘lot of interest’.
When discussing his suitors, only Brighton and Everton are mentioned as the frontman could be a ‘better fit’ for these clubs. Betis won’t mind closing García’s sale for €10m but the price could rise if two or more clubs were to table offers.
In other words, Brighton, Everton or another club could have an opportunity to sign the frontman on a cheap deal.
