Incoming Chelsea signing Estevão could be the next big Brazilian talent and is a great signing for the Blues.
That’s according to former midfielder Denilson, who has sung the youngster’s praises in an interview with AS.
Estevão is set to join Chelsea officially in the summer in a €34m move from Palmeiras as they moved to secure his signature last year.
The Blues beat a host of competition in Europe for the 17-year-old, who is considered one of the rising stars of Brazilian football.
He made his debut for Palmeiras aged just 16-years and seven months in December 2023 and has already played in the Copa Libertadores and made his debut for the Brazilian national team earlier this year, with four appearances now under his belt.
He is highly rated in his homeland, with a record of 18 goals and 10 assists in 56 games for Palmeiras only adding to the excitement building around him.
Denilson certainly thinks he has a bright future ahead of him and even thinks the Chelsea youngster could be competing with Real Madrid’s Endrick to be the next big Brazilian talent in world football.
“Endrick will be one of them, but I’m excited about Estevao, who is going to Chelsea,” he said.
“English football has changed, and his style will adapt well. He’s intelligent, a great dribbler and has a goal. He’s a great signing.”
