On Friday afternoon, reports from the Italian media claimed Nicolo Zaniolo had turned down the move to Bournemouth.
It was said by TuttoMercatoWeb that despite the Cherries’ agreement with Roma for a €30m transfer, the player was not keen on completing the switch.
That was reportedly said in a meeting between Bournemouth and Zaniolo’s agents. However, in other news from the Italian media, it’s claimed there’s still a chance that move could go through.
Gazzetta Dello Sport claim that even though the Cherris’ offer has not convinced the player yet, there’s one more night for him to take a decision.
Bournemouth’s representatives are set to have dinner with agent Claudio Vigorelli tonight. Then the player can sleep on those thoughts and bring a definitive answer on Saturday morning.
Still, Gazzeta make it clear that Zaniolo is actually closer to staying at Roma for now. He hasn’t been convinced yet, and if things continue like this, he’ll be kept in José Mourinho’s squad until the summer.
But Bournemouth may have found another subject to discuss in the city, since they also plan an appointment to discuss the final details of Matias Viña’s transfer.
