Sabah journalist Mehmet Ozcan has claimed Galatasaray are interested in signing Leicester City attacker Ahmed Musa and are leading the race for the Nigerian.
The Leicester player has also been linked with Wolves in the past week after reports the newly promoted club have made an offer.
Speaking to Sporx, the Galatasaray journalist said: “Galatasaray want to sign a player who can be a back-up for Bafe Gomis as well as play in the other positions. Leicester City’s Ahmed Musa certainly fits the bill.”
“He’s likely to cost €3.5m for a season-long loan deal. I can confirm that Galatasaray are currently leading the race to sign him.”
Last week we covered reports from Turkey that Wolves are in the race to sign Musa following their promotion to the Premier League, but face competition from Turkey and CSKA Moscow.
The Nigeria international is currently on loan with the Russian club after struggling to get games at Leicester City.
Despite Wolves reportedly making offer for Musa it’s thought in Turkey he’ll join a club there, due to the difficulties he experienced in English football with the Foxes. But then the Turkish media usually think players linked with their clubs will end up there.
