Every summer we say that William Carvalho’s departure from Sporting seems very close. But this time, we really mean it.
Things aren’t going well in Alvalade at all. First, because the club president has declared a public war against his own players and manager. Now the fans have been attacking the squad as well.
That’s why, according to newspaper A Bola today, Carvalho has his head out of Sporting already. The player is said to be really planning an exit in the summer market and to leave all this madness behind.
The outlet claims the midfielder should leave for Italy or England, without naming any clubs who would be close to taking him.
That’s interesting, because just last week, A Bola had pointed out the three clubs who are currently in talks for Carvalho.
They claimed that Monaco, Inter Milan and Everton have all recently expressed their desire to sign the midfielder this summer. The Toffees have reportedly even met his agents in Liverpool.
But as today’s story is more of a general article, talking about several players, maybe the outlet didn’t want to get into the details of Carvalho’s future.
The midfielder has a €45m release clause, and A Bola claims that Sporting will demand something close to it.
