Espanyol goalkeeper Roberto is expected to leave the club during the summer window, report Greek website Sdna.Gr and the Spaniard has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest.
The 32 year old is currently on loan with La Liga side Malaga.
With Malaga relegated to the Spanish second tier, Roberto is expected to move back to his parent club this summer, but it’s not expected he’ll be first choice for the Catalan club next season.
Subsequently a move to Nottingham Forest is a possibility in the next transfer window, claim Sdna.Gr.
Nottingham Forest may be in the market for a goalkeeper this summer, and Roberto looks to be an option. Aitor Karanka’s current No.1 is Costel Pantilimon, but the Romanian is only on loan from Watford until the end of the season.
The Championship side’s owner Vangelis Marinakis knows Roberto from his spell at Olympiacos, and Nottingham Forest manager Karanka is also likely to be aware of his compatriot.
Roberto has played 33 games for Malaga this season.
