Don Balon’s latest Manchester City imagirumour is that Pep Guardiola has set his sights on signing Neymar from PSG.
Yep, the idea of Real Madrid trying to sign the former Barcelona star, in a deal that would have to eclipse the €220m PSG paid, isn’t quite dramatic enough for Don Balon, so they’ve brought Manchester City in.
And it would be far too simple just for the Premier League club to be rivalling Real Madrid with a straight bid, so Raheem Sterling has been dragged into the equation.
Manchester City would send Sterling and a big pile of money to PSG for Neymar, and the Spanish worry is that package may be better than anything Real Madrid can put together.
Neymar, less than a year after he moved from Barcelona to PSG, is said to be aware he has no chance of winning the Ballon d’Or if he stays with the French club.
And as for Neymar’s thoughts, he doesn’t see the idea of a move to Manchester City ‘with too much disgust’. That’s good of him.
