Christian Benteke has been linked with a move away from Anfield, as it’s quite clear he doesn’t fit into Jurgen Klopp’s playing style.
Liverpool already have plenty of options up front in Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, Danny Ings, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane, and it’d be very difficult for the Belgian international to get regular playing time next season.
Benteke came close to moving to Crystal Palace earlier in the transfer window, but the transfer fee proved to be a stumbling block.
Latest claims in Turkey suggest Besiktas are interested in signing Benteke. The Turkish giants would be willing to sign Benteke on loan, reports Spor Haber.
Spor Haber say Besiktas already have an agreement with Benteke, but Liverpool want to offload him permanently.
It is reported Benteke is valued at €25m, but we really doubt Liverpool will consider selling the Belgian at that price in the current market… then again, they may have to.
The Turkish media outlet believe Besiktas will be Benteke’s first choice should Liverpool allow him to leave on loan. A little bias may have creeped into the Turkish report.
