Everton are reportedly strong the race for Barcelona midfielder Rafinha Alcântara.
It’s the Italian website Calcio Mercato who reports it today, claiming that while Inter Milan are pursuing the player, there are actually two offers coming from England.
One of them would be from Everton, who are currently chasing a replacement for Ross Barkley, who has just moved to Chelsea.
Inter Milan have already made their bid as well. The Serie A side would be trying to take the player from Barcelona with a loan deal until the end of the season, including a buying option of €20m plus bonuses.
Rafinha is said to be evaluating the options for now, and even though the website claims that Inter expect good news, there are no signs that he would favour the move to Italy.
Calcio Mercato claims that Barcelona won’t make things hard, and will favour the player’s wishes when picking his next destination.
For months the Catalan media have been talking up a move for the injury-plagued player and if Everton interest is genuine they shouldn’t find too many barriers at Barcelona.
