With the transfer window approaching, and the Valencian press constantly complaining about Andreas Pereira’s performances, it wasn’t hard to predict the rumour that was about to show up.
It’s actually not a rumour, but more of a questioning made by Deporte Valenciano today: what will Valencia do with Andreas Pereira in January?
Even though Carlos Soler and Gonçalo Guedes are both injured, the club has been making it clear that they want to sign a new attacking midfielder in the transfer window, and the website takes it as a hint that Pereira could be off in January.
But that’s more of a hope that Manchester United would call him back than an actual devolution from Valencia.
The Spanish club would like the first option because the Red Devils would have to pay a €3m fee to bringing him to England in January, and considering that Valencia would be then free from paying his salary, that would be two bits of good news for their winter transfer window.
But does José Mourinho want him back at United? That’s not mentioned by Deporte Valenciano, and should be a pretty important part in this case.
That is unless Valencia can send him to England and pay the fee themselves, something that sounds highly unlikely.
