No matter where you look in Spain these days, you’re bound to find an article discussing Sandro’s future at Everton and one of his potential destinations.
Originally nailed on for a move to Valencia in January, doubt has crept in that transfer, and his former club, Malaga, have entered the ring with most outlets now suggesting a return there is on the cards.
As we’ve already explained over the weekend, any club in Spain wanting the Toffees’ forward will either have to have a lot of space left on their wage budget or convince Everton to pay a large chunk of the player’s salary.
This applies to both Valencia and Malaga, which is why we questioned Marca’s recent claims, but if the latter’s manager is to be believed, Sandro only has one destination in mind.
Relayed by the same newspaper, Míchel said: “Players play where they want, and Sandro wants to be in Malaga”.
This comes off the back of reports the manager had been recently talking to the Everton striker to convince him to choose his ex-side over Valencia, and it appears he’s managed to do just that.
We’ll also have to see whether this desire turns into Sandro forcing a move or not.
Now they just need to negotiate his exit from Goodison Park and hope the Toffees feel especially generous over the Christmas period.
Either that or Sandro takes a huge pay cut out of the goodness of his heart.
