According to a claim in the Turkish media Everton are the latest club showing interest in Besiktas defender Dusko Tosic.

The Serbian could leave the Turkish side in the next window, and the player this week has also been linked with a move to Celtic, as Brendan Rodgers looks to strengthen his squad in the new year.

Sporx say Everton have contacted Beskitas about the 32 year old defender, as reports about Tosic’s future with the Turkish side continue.

Beskitas are looking to bring in Croatia international Domagoj Vida as a free agent, which puts questions marks over the future of Tosic. Vida has also been linked with a move to Everton in recent weeks, as Sam Allardyce looks to change things at Goodison Park.

Yesterday, we covered the reports from the Turkish press that Celtic wanted to bolster their defensive options in January, and Tosic could be brought in by the Scottish Premiership champions.

It was claimed Celtic were ready to table a bid in the region of €3m to sign the former QPR player.

The Serbia international would be brought in as competition for Eric Sviatchenko, Jozo Simunovic and Dedryck Boyata.
