It’s been a long time since the Leeds United and Manchester United rivalry was at its height, and many outside of the Yorkshire city don’t feel the hate so strongly these days, but the fire continues to burn for some.
That’s why some Leeds United fans aren’t too happy manager Thomas Christiansen spent his Sunday afternoon at Old Trafford, watching Jose Mourinho’s men against Manchester City.
A photograph has gone around social media, with several Leeds United fans left fuming. One has sent a message to the manager, and the club’s owner Andrea Radrizzani, saying the Man United visit is an ‘absolute disgrace’ before adding ‘We won’t forgive him for this ever. Absolute s*** house!’
Radrizzani responded by telling angry fans to relax and the replies to Leeds United’s owner show most supporters aren’t so bothered about Christiansen’s Sunday day out.
What it does all show is that should Leeds United get promoted this season, there’s another feisty match on the way for Mourinho.
Ohh what a disgrace…relax guys. Our man @T9Christiansen has enjoyed a nice afternoon of top football with his family. What s wrong with that ? And the atmosphere motivated him even more to bring us back at that level .let s stay behind the team win the next game #graft#family https://t.co/wZRU10wO9t
