Anderlecht are travelling to Celtic without two of their more known players.

Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad explain in their Monday edition that neither Nicolae Stanciu or Alexandru Chipciu will be making the trip to Glasgow for Tuesday’s Champions League match.

Stanciu is being given a rest, with concerns over the player’s hamstrings. Whilst it’s been reported he’s returned to fitness, Anderlecht have decided to leave Stanciu at home, according to the Belgian claims.

Chipciu has been dealing with personal issues, having travelled back to Romania to see his sick father. Now back and with several training sessions behind him, Chipciu would also likely be available if Anderlecht really wanted him for the Celtic match, but Het Nieuwsblad state he’s not travelling either.

Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic are likely to take third place in what has been a tough group, and that’ll get them Europa League football. Should Anderlecht fail to get anything at Celtic Park then they’ll be ending the group with zero points and a goal difference of -17 at best.
