According to Sporx, Besiktas’ striker Cenk Tosun doesn’t want to leave the club halfway through the season.
The Turkish website claims despite the strong interest from Newcastle United, Tosun is determined to stay Besiktas as he wants to win a 3rd domestic league title in a row with the club.
Tosun has reportedly told his close friends that he’ll like to stay at Besiktas for the remainder of the season, but the striker also reiterates his desire to play in the Premier League.
Sporx report despite these comments from the Turkey international, Newcastle United will still look to table a bid for the player in the new year.
Newcastle United tried to sign the player in the last window, but their £8m bid was turned down by Besiktas. The Premier League side have maintained their interest in Tosun, with recent claims they will look to offer the Turkish champions €20m in the next window.
