Much maligned by Jürgen Klopp last season, Alberto Moreno is now back in the Liverpool squad, and he’s not doing too badly for himself.
Starting seven of the nine Premier League games so far, the Spanish left-back, who appeared to be on his way out of Anfield, has half-alleviated the club’s need for a new player in the position.
Andrew Robertson’s signing from Hull City was obviously one for the future, and it seems the European press aren’t quite done linking defenders capable of replacing the Spaniard.
The latest to be added to the list is Roma’s Emerson thanks to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira, who claims Liverpool are ready to offer €25m in January for the Brazilian.

Such an offer would obviously be accepted by the Serie A side, who only paid €2m for the 23-year-old in the first place, with Schira claiming it would also allow them to balance the books.
Emerson would be offered a four and a half year contract at Anfield, keeping him there until 2022.
If you ask us, this seems a bit overkill, what with two players already in the role at Liverpool, especially when the centre of defence needs addressing far more urgently at this moment in time.
On August 30th, Liverpool were said to be readying a €21m offer for the same player, so, despite having a more pressing need elsewhere, Klopp may now be determined to get this one.
