Pierre-Michel Lasogga only joined Leeds United at the end of the last transfer window, and he’s instantly become a hit with the Elland Road faithful.
The 25 year old has played just two games for the Championship side, but already the German forward has his own song, which hasn’t gone unnoticed in Germany.
Hamburger Morgenpost have been reporting the impact Lasogga has made in England, ever since his debut for Leeds United on Saturday.
The player scored two goals, and provided an assist in the 5-0 win over Burton, and the German newspaper have today reported on the song the Leeds United fans have created for their new hero.
They say the Leeds United supporters have ‘embraced’ Lasogga since his arrival at the club last month, and like previously with Pontus Jansson they already have a song for the player, even though Hamburger Morgenpost haven’t quite grasped the lyrics: “No fear! Lasogga is here! Do not worry Lasogga is here!.”
We’re sure Leeds United fans will know the correct version.
Like Jansson, it seems Lasogga is fast becoming a cult hero with the Leeds United fans, even though there were doubts about the former Germany U21 international replacing last season’s top scorer Chris Wood.
