Yesterday Fenerbahce boss Aykut Kocaman admitted a deal to sign Chelsea forward Diego Costa is unlikely, and subsequently they will concentrate on signing Everton’s Oumar Niasse, claim Fanatik.
The Turkish giants are looking to add one striker to their squad before the transfer deadline today, and Everton’s Niasse continues to be a target.
Fanatik say the Turkish club remain confident they can get a loan agreement with Everton before the deadline. Niasse remained at Everton after his move to Crystal Palace collapsed last week, but Fenerbahce could offer him an escape route.
Niasse’s move could be scuppered by Vincent Janssen, with claims in Turkey a deal is all agreed for a Fenerbahce loan. If Niasse misses out it’ll be another blow to the player, and another blow to Ronald Koeman’s efforts to offload him.
What had been looking like very positive news from Turkey, has now turned bad with Fenerbahce announcing a Janssen agreement. Unless the club want Niasse as well, Everton and the striker won’t have long to find a Turkish alternative… the window closes today.
