Queens Park Rangers face competition from Chievo Verona to sign OFK forward Saman Ghoddos. QPR have been linked with the Swede in recent days, but won’t have it all their own way.
Calciomercato.it have reported Chievo are looking to sign a forward before the window closes, due to the uncertainty over the future of Roberto Inglese. The forward could leave Chievo before the deadline, and Ghoddos is on their shortlist.
The Italian football outlet says the OFK player would cost Chievo €2m, which is the figure QPR have reportedly offered the Swedish club for the 23 year old. QPR would have a financial advantage over Chievo, which is exampled by the Italian media hoping for such a low asking price.
At the weekend we reported on comments made by OFK chairman Daniel Kindberg, who said they would consider selling Ghoddos for the right price, when asked about QPR’s interest.
The West London side are understood to have tabled a bid in the region of £1.9m for Ghoddos, but this was rejected by OFK.
It’s not been reported if QPR will come in with a second bid for the forward.
