Gazzetta dello Sport have another update on Antonio Candreva potentially leaving Inter Milan before the window closes.
What was once a ‘not for sale’ sign around Candreva’s neck, seems to be very quickly losing the ‘not’ part. Chelsea are the only club mentioned in the repeat reports, and reading between the lines one would believe Inter quite fancy a sale.
Gazzetta dello Sport say if a Chelsea offer around €25-27m ‘really’ arrives, meaning they’re not entirely sure it’s all genuine, then the transfer would ‘take off’ and have an impact on the rest of the window.
Inter receiving €25m+ from Chelsea would ‘unlock’ the transfer market for the Milan club, and enable them to more seriously chase other targets.
This seems to be very much based on hope and claims from England, but it’s clear a reasonable Chelsea approach would not now be unwelcome.
If Antonio Conte wants Candreva for the right side of his attack, or even just as back-up, then the transfer won’t be so difficult for Chelsea to do.
