The past few days have seen Crystal Palace emerge as a potential destination for Botafogo winger Luiz Henrique.
Italian side Fiorentina are also said to be a candidate, having fallen short of the Brazilian club’s asking price for the 24-year-old.
Gazzetta dello Sport today have looked at Luiz Henrique’s situation in more detail today and have, in the process, given hope to Crystal Palace.
The outlet, as relayed by LabaroViola, have reported that Botafogo currently want around €30m to sell their player. As of now, they prefer a sale to the Premier League and Crystal Palace are the only candidate to land him in England.
If they do not sell him to the Premier League, the winger can be loaned out to Lyon, who share the same ownership as Botafogo. Indeed, John Textor still has shares in Crystal Palace.
Fiorentina’s chase of the Brazil international is currently on hold, as they are not willing to go beyond €20m. As a result, they have identified Parma’s Dennis Man as the alternative.
That is why the Eagles could now have a clear pathway in their move for the player, who has 12 goals in 55 games for Botafogo.
